What We Do
Piedmont Hawthorne established The Aviation Explorer Post #757 to promote the growing field of aviation, and all the various related aspects. We hold a meeting once every month, and often have a field trip to local aviation-related sites between meetings. Our typical activities include aircraft mechanics and engine repair work, touring maintinance facilities and hangers at Norfolk International Airport, and learning about the "behind the scenes" work during a typical day at an airport. |
